Abalone Cookie is a posthumous minor antagonist in Cookie Run: Kingdom.
He was the greedy captain of the Abalone Ship, who initially partnered with Oyster Cookie's ancestor Lord Oyster to search for legendary treasures. Through manipulating Lord Oyster and starting a violent raid on Tearcrown, his actions traumatized the Gem Mermaid White Pearl Cookie into becoming the vengeful Black Pearl Cookie, who sank him along with his ships and legacy.
He was voiced by Yun Yong-sik in Korean, Shohei Tabuchi in Japanese and Austen Moret in English.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, being nothing more than a greedy Cookie who only cares about wealth and considers everyone else to be expendable as long as he can fulfil his desires.
- He partnered with Lord Oyster to obtain treasures, but he never had any true friendship with him and only wanted to use him.
- He raided Tearcrown in search of wealth, kidnapping White Pearl Cookie and sadistically starting a raid on Tearcrown.
- He dehumanizes the Gem Mermaids, referring to them with "it" pronouns and regarding them merely as things.
- He is willing to risk the lives of his own crew for his own benefit and sees them as expendable, such as being willing to send them out to sea even when his ship has sustained major damage. Later on, when Black Pearl Cookie attacks the ship, he tries to convince them the "Goddess of the Sea" doesn't exist.
- After White Pearl Cookie gave Lord Oyster her pearl as a sign of her friendship, Abalone Cookie preyed on his insecurities to manipulate him into giving up the pearl, convincing him that his house would collapse without the money and he could buy it back if he could. Having no intention to keep his end of the deal, Abalone Cookie snatched the pearl from him and ran off, causing Lord Oyster to realize his mistake.
- He boasts to White Pearl Cookie that he had stolen her pearl because of Lord Oyster's "lack of a spine", breaking her trust with him.
- He raids Tearcrown a second time, culminating into an attack which would implicitly endanger children and cause Frilled Jellyfish Cookie to temporarily sacrifice her own life, which made White Pearl Cookie snap and absorb the Sea Fairy Tear, transforming her into Black Pearl Cookie.
- He captures White Pearl Cookie before Lord Oyster can apologize to her, though she is later rescued by her sisters. Later on, he gloats about wanting to catch the rest of the mermaids.
- While he ends up meeting a terrifying end by having his ship sunken by Black Pearl Cookie, he had it coming due to everything he put her through. Though his legacy ended up dying with him, his crimes caused Black Pearl Cookie to hate all land Cookies due to his hand in Lord Oyster's betrayal.
- Even after his death, his actions caused Black Pearl Cookie to become a misanthropic, sadistic vengeance seeker who sinks ships out of pain towards her betrayal and trauma.
