Acrisius is a minor antagonist in Netflix's animated series, Blood of Zeus. He is the brother of Periander but after having a falling out with him decides to overthrow his brother and takes his place as the new ruler of Corinth. While at that, he is responsible for Seraphim's hate towards humanity.
Acrisius is voiced by Matthew Mercer.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He plotted to overthrow his own brother for power to benefit himself and his cruel sons.
- He threw his own nephew off a cliff as he did not want the baby to have any birth right to the throne.
- When he discovered his nephew's survival and being cared for by a servant girl, he sent his sons to kill them.
- He has no care for either of his sons, because even though they are equally cruel as him, he only viewed them as extensions of himself.
- He showed no regrets for his actions.
- His downfall is well deserved as he was a cruel power-hungry man, who holds no moral compass whatsoever. And did not realized until now the demon, who visited him turned out to be his nephew, who is now named Seraphim. Acrisius death in the hands of his vengeful nephew is displayed as ironic karma for his crimes.
