Akemi Hinazuki is the secondary antagonist of Erased. She is the abusive mother of Kayo and keeps her from having any social contact, which leads to Kayo being both kidnapped and killed.

What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]

Uses her husband's abuse of her as an excuse to horrifically abuse her daughter, Kayo, even though she has never done anything wrong. She prevents her from having any social contact which causes her to be an extremely lonely outcast.
Beats, starves and locks Kayo in her shed when she is angry. In the original timeline, this allowed the kidnapper to break in and gruesomely murder Kayo, making her partially responsible for all of the horrible events in the series. It is further implied that she did not care that Kayo was dead.
Dunked Kayo's head in a cold sink to hide her injuries that she caused.
Tries to hit Satoru's mother, Sachiko, with a shovel when she tries to uncover her abusive nature.

Trivia[]

She, her husband and Yashiro's Brother are the only hate sinks in Erased.
