~ Nimziki urging to send a nuclear strike regardless of potential civilian casualties. |
Albert Nimziki is a minor antagonist in the 1996 Roland Emmerich sci-fi invasion film Independence Day.
He was the United States Secretary of Defense under the late President Thomas Whitmore, and former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. His role to the 1996 Invasion had worsened with the Whitmore Administration, giving a call to action against the aliens without providing insight to the consequences of their allies, in spite for his own good. His arrogance is indirectly responsible to many casualties during the invasion.
He was portrayed by the late James Rebhorn.
