Alejandro Macias Robles is the main antagonist of the La Rosa de Guadalupe episode called "La importancia de decir que no".
He is presented as the love interest of the protagonist Ahinara Estrada, being first her boyfriend and then her husband, but it is discovered that Alejandro is a man with an obsession with cleanliness and goes crazy every time he sees something dirty.
He was portrayed by late Juan Pablo Ramirez Ayala.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Although at first it seemed that he was falling in love with Ahinara to the point of marrying her, over time this "love" became obsessive and unhealthy, leading to abuse.
- Furthermore, although he claims that of all the women he's been with, Ahinara is the best, this is quickly contradicted when 3 months later, he yells at her, "You're nobody, you're worthless," showing that he sees her as an object in his house and doesn't love her at all.
- Although he seemed to show genuine joy when he found out he was going to be a father, even saying he didn't want a divorce so his child wouldn't grow up with his parents separated. It's unclear whether he really meant it, as he didn't even want to pay for a doctor's appointment when Ahinara told him something was wrong with the baby.
- Even after learning of the pregnancy, he continued to mistreat Ahinara, even going so far as to throw chlorine in her eyes, without thinking that this would hurt his child.
- Although he has a compulsive disorder for cleaning and germs, this is not portrayed sympathetically, and he is also aware of what he is doing, and although at one point he says he will get help, the fact that he remains the same later on means he lied about it.
- He didn't allow Ahinara to leave the house to see her parents.
- He asked Ahinara to give him the passwords to her bank accounts and later asked her to quit her job so she wouldn't have to deal with the stress.
- After he poured chlorine in Ahinara's eyes, the public prosecutor at the hospital went to ask her what had happened. He tried to persuade Ahinara to lie about what had happened, and when she said it had happened, he yelled at her to shut up, only to be arrested by the police.
- He was arrested and sentenced for his crimes, which is interpreted with satisfaction.
