What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Only allows John to leave the school because he didn't want to waste a bullet on someone outside the building rather than because he didn't want to kill John.
- Attempt to bomb the school along with Eric.
- He wants to kill as many students as possible, hiding behind his excuse of "revenge" for the bullying he and Eric received.
- Is inspired to kill by far-right ideologies as evidenced by the fact that he collects videos of the Ku Klux Klan in addition to admiring Hitler.
- Decides to shoot the school up when the bombs fail to go off.
- When Eric outlives his usefulness, Alex kills him mid-sentence.
- Plays a sadistic game of "Eenie meenie miney mo" with Nathan and Carrie to see which one of them he kills first.
- While he and Eric kiss in the shower prior the massacre at the school, this isn't a redeeming quality of "even evil has loved ones", as Alex later killed him when he ceased to be useful. Not to mention, some of his interactions with Eric suggest he's annoyed of him.
