Amphibian Ripper (aka Ovaar) is a minor antagonist in My Little Pony The Movie Reaperverse, and the main antagonist of My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Invasion From Radioactive Abyss.
He is the last of the Gillian race, a former Second Elite Warrior of the Storm King, and the leader of the Fish Mafia, seeking to destroy Equestria as revenge against the Guardians of Harmony for denying him the opportunity to dominate it under the Storm King.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
In General[]
- He stands out as the most personal enemy of the human version of Fluttershy, even more so than the Dark The Maddened, having essentially single-handedly taken away everything she holds dear, including being responsible for Zephyr Breeze being psychologically scarred by the death of his parents, constantly pretending to be arrogant and selfish to hide his illness from everyone, and being forced to take on jobs from various Fantastic Creatures to provide for himself and his sister. Furthermore, he stands out among all the villains in the history of the My Little Pony Reaperverse for his unique crimes of pedophilia, serial r***, and sodomy, which are exceptionally unique not only to this but to all other Reaperverses, earning him the title of the worst and most vile villain in the history of the entire My Little Pony Reaperverse.
- While it can be argued that he has a certain amount of tragedy, as he has been subjected to cruelty from members of his own race, this in no way classifies him as tragic, as the reason for this treatment of him was entirely justified by his relatively homicidal and perverted behavior towards others, due to which his conventional tragedy is nullified by his own actions, which he developed within himself.
- Although he has shown signs of psychosis throughout his life due to his twisted nature, he possesses enough intelligence and moral agency to not only resist his psychosis, but also suppress it for long periods of time when necessary (for example, he completely suppressed his psychosis and his habits while serving the Storm King), proving that he is fully capable of controlling his psychosis and his twisted nature, but still preferring to give in to his desires, considering them the most beneficial and satisfying for his existence.
- While he had a positive relationship with the Wight Lord, and was the one who genuinely wanted Urzash to be the true leader of the Storm King's Realm, his respect and admiration for Urzash was only based on his admiration for his sadism and their shared hatred for all races of Equestria, as he did not come to the aid of the Wight Lord during the events of My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Spring Breakdown, as well as never mentioning him again afterward, making it clear that he was only interested in working with him out of personal pragmatism, willing to disown him as soon as he felt it was to his own disadvantage.
- He has a natural need to inflict as much physical and psychological harm as possible on all beings that possess an exceptional level of innocence, preferring children and young females as victims.
Past[]
- Even as a child, he had a deep passion for violence and lust, actively killing marine life and attempting to force lust on younger female members of his species. While he was subjected to cruelty from his own species for this, it was entirely deserved, as Ovaar, despite such treatment, never wanted to change his lifestyle, essentially subtly implying that he took pleasure in causing disgust and hatred towards himself and his actions in those around him.
- When his species, unable to bear his actions any longer, tried to deservedly kill him, he personally committed a full-fledged genocide of his species, killing all of them, including his family, for trying to interfere with his way of life, feeling no remorse then or later for the crime he had committed.
- While he had a long-time love for Cheerilee from the Cheerilee's Garden universe, all of that love was nothing more than a lustful obsession and admiration for her sadism, as he calmly disowned her and left her universe once he no longer found it interesting to be around her. Furthermore, when he and Cheerilee managed to give birth to a son, Ovaar very easily allowed himself to eat his newborn son, simply because he did not want to leave the Cheerilee's Garden universe with any regrets or memories of living there, essentially completely destroying any feelings, love, or care for his son and Cheerilee.
- During his scientific expedition to the Human World, he hit a car containing the human versions of Mr. and Mrs. Shy, into a cliff into the sea, resulting in their deaths.
- While he sincerely admitted that it was a complete accident and a reflexive attempt to save himself from being hit by a car, he never expressed any regret for what he had done, then or now. In fact, when he realized what he had actually done, he felt exceptional joy at being able to cause even more harm to Fluttershy, being deeply pleased that he was able to further harm her innocent nature.
- During his time in Ponyville, he kidnapped and murdered three little girls, r***** two of them and attempting to ransom the third while he had already brutally murdered her, earning a well-deserved death sentence from Princess Celestia.
- He, along with the Storm King, Wight Lord, Dreadmetal, Skynet, and Tempest Shadow, invaded Mount Aris, resulting in the deaths of several dozen hippogriffs before they were able to escape and take refuge in Seaquestria.
My Little Pony The Movie[]
- He invaded Seaquestria with Slattern and other aquatic mercenaries, and attempted to assassinate Queen Novo, after brutally killing a dozen guards with an improvised oxygen destroyer.
- He sadistically reminded Novo of the Storm King's invasion of Mount Aris, reminding her of how many hippogriffs died at his hands.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Invasion From Radioactive Abyss[]
- He is trying to activate the Aqua Detonator in Equestria, which released a colossal amount of water across the entire planet, raising the level of the world's oceans by 50 meters, killing almost all living things. Moreover, due to the fact that the Aqua Detonator will subject both fresh and salt water to mixing, creating an aqueous composition that will have a lethal effect on all aquatic fauna, as well as on all flora existing in Equestria, then conditionally Ovaar was trying to activate the Aqua Detonator, counting on the destruction of all organic life in all of Equestria and beyond, which he knew perfectly well, but he did not care about it, being interested only in the thirst for revenge on the Guardians of Harmony.
- He lures the Friendship Guardians to the swamp just so Fluttershy can be with them, later attempting to kill her by drowning her in the swamp.
- He invades the Canterlot Animal Shelter and personally slaughters every animal in it, only to show it off to Fluttershy, shocking her to her very core.
- In his most brutal and vile crime in the history of the My Little Pony Reaperverse, he breaks Fluttershy's left arm, both legs, and slits her eyeballs in half, before violently and brutally r***** her. Although he had previously restored 80% of the damage he had done to her, he only did so because he wanted her to suffer while he did it to her.
- He kills Zephyr Breeze in front of Fluttershy when he tried to protect her from Ovaar's attack, ripping out and destroying his heart, and additionally destroying his soul, essentially killing him completely.
