Get it, man... Nobody in our class protects Joosep.
~ Anders to Kaspar.

Anders Allikmäe is the main antagonist of the 2007 Estonian film The Class (original title: Klass).

He is a high-school bully who takes pleasure in tormenting people he considers inferior or weak. His aggressive personality makes him the leader of a group of bullies whose main victim is Joosep Rääk, a quiet and introverted classmate.

He was portrayed by Lauri Pedaja.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]

The Class[]

  • He leads his fellow classmates through fear and intimidation.
  • As a leader, he turns the entire class against Joosep to torment him, which involved things like:
    • Every day, being beaten by him and his entire class.
    • Publicly humiliating him outside of class by breaking his shoes.
    • Framing Kaspar to the teachers and principal, claiming he was the one bullying Joosep, when in fact it was Anders and the entire class.
  • When Kaspar starts defending Joosep from Anders and the others, at Anders' orders, the entire class turns against them both.
  • Anders and his group take Joosep to the schoolyard, where he and his group lock Kaspar in a shed and force him to watch as they brutally beat Joosep, to the point where he can't breathe. It all ends with Anders threatening Kaspar that if he continues to defend Joosep, worse things will happen.
  • He and his group forge emails so that Joosep and Kaspar meet at the beach.
  • The moment they find themselves on the beach and realize it was a trap set by Anders and the bullies, occurs the scene in which Anders is considered to be totally despicable. After losing a fight with Kaspar, he cowardly pulls out a knife and forces him to kneel. He then forces Kaspar to perform oral sex on Joosep. He ordered one of his companions, Tiit, to take out a camera and photograph the act. This was the final straw, as Joosep and Kaspar decided to murder Anders and his friends with Joosep's father's firearm. The next day, Anders showed no remorse for what he had done.

The Class: Life After[]

  • Although Anders died at the hands of Kaspar and Joosep, after the film, in the 7-episode miniseries "Klass: Elu Párast" (Class: After Life) Anders was remembered as a good student and Joosep and Kaspar are left as the despicable murderers by some teachers and students at first, when it was Anders who was ultimately responsible due to the atrocities he committed against Kaspar and Joosep.
    • However, furtonately there were students and other people who knew the whole story and felt bad for Kaspar and Joseep. Kerli felt hatred towards Anders and what he did, she even used a candle in a memorial of the dead students (which included Joseep) to lighten Joseep's which was extinguished compared to the others, and even supported Kaspar in his trial. Laine, the homeroom teacher of Anders and Joseep's class, was ashamed and angry on all her students for bullying Joseep and for driving him and Kaspar on doing the shooting. Paul's parents were heartbroken and ashamed of what his son did by joining Anders' bullying. Toomas felt great regret for what he had done after being paralyzed and being sent to jail, he even showed support and understanding towards Kaspar in his trial.
  • To make matters worse in the beach scene, there were cameras at there which capted said act, and afterwards Toomas and Tiit (the surviving bullies), were arrested and jailed for sexual assault, which means that if Anders survived or was still alive he would have been jailed for what he did. Thanks to that, a number of teachers and students started to realize the things and how Anders actually was, and to that there were people rooting for Kaspar in his trial.
