Agent Andrew Milton is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Micah Bell) of the 2018 action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption II.
He is a detective of the Pinkerton National Detective Agency and corrupt official, working for Leviticus Cornwall to dismantle the Van der Linde gang.
He was voiced by John Hickok.
What Make Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He epitomizes the extremism of growing civilization and wants the disapperance of everything he considers "savage".
- For instance, he told the Van der Linde gang that they didn't kill the "savages" (Native Americans) just to allow other savages (namely outlaws) to settle in instead.
- He is also racially prejudiced as he calls Lenny Summers a "boy", which was historically used for domestic servants and also was used more generally as a disparaging term for black men.
- Milton claims he wants to bring Dutch and the gang down and kill them by pure desire of justice, which is contradictory, as it was revealed the agency was hired by oil magnate Leviticus Cornwall simply because the gang robbed his train.
- Despite offering the gang a chance to surrender, it can be presumed by his disgust of outlaws that Milton wouldn't have honored his part of deal afterwards.
- He is condescending and bragging, as he reveals to Arthur that he found their fellow gang member, Mac Callander, interrogated him under torture and killed him slowly (a "mercy kill") just to spite his interlocutor who refused to reveal Dutch's whereabouts.
- He later executes a defenseless Hosea Matthews in the streets of Saint Denis to infuriate Arthur and Dutch.
- After killing Hosea, he either flees or hides, and leaves his men to capture the Van der Linde gang. His raid also kills Lenny.
- A Pinkerton agent will state in the game he'd like to "find a poisonous snake for [Milton]", highlighting his awful nature and the fact that even his subordinates disliked him.
- To be more effective in his goal to bring the gang down, he made a deal with Micah Bell to spy and eliminate the gang from the inside, with the high probability of an amnesty if he will cooperate.
- Given Micah's evil, snide and sadistic nature, and that he is a suspected rapist and child killer, it therefore shows that Milton was ready to make a deal with the most dangerous and awful asset of the gang just to fullfill his job for Cornwall.
- He kidnaps Abigail Roberts and later Sadie Adler to force a confrontation between him and Arthur, during which the latter will try to disarm Milton, who laughs sadistically at Arthur's terminal ill condition before attempting to kill him.
