Andrew Monday is the main antagonist of Stubbs the Zombie.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- On the surface, he's a wonderful man who is the creator of Punchbowl, a futuristic city. But it gradually comes clear that he does not care about the city's citizens and only the city itself.
- While he has a justification for trying to kill Stubbs (he was attacking his city), Stubbs was simply trying to reunite with his lover Maggie Monday, who was tragically separated from him when Otis Monday killed him. Andrew Monday on the other hand is shown to be a selfish man with a disregard for the lives of others.
- Though he loves his mother Maggie Monday, he decides to disregard her advice to leave Punchbowl, which could have saved civilians from being eaten by zombies or being killed when Punchbowl was nuked.
- When Punchbowl is hit with a massive tidal wave Stubbs the Zombie has caused, he shows no concern for the civilians that died because of it, instead only being concerned about the property damage that the tidal wave caused. He acts like the tidal wave is only a minor inconvenience, even though the city is clearly in danger.
- Maggie Monday eventually decides to leave Andrew to die in Punchbowl due to his aforementioned lack of empathy, and he does not escape Punchbowl alive before the military destroys it.
- It's implied that if Andrew Monday had cared about the city's civilians, Punchbowl might not have been destroyed.
