Angelo Bronte is a major antagonist of the 2018 western action-adventure video game Red Dead Redemption 2, serving as the main antagonist of the Saint Denis chapter. He is a wealthy and powerful Italian businessman and crime boss controlling the city of Saint Denis, as well as an associate of Catherine Braithwaite.
He was voiced by Jim Pirri.
What Make Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He is a ruthless, deceitful, haughty and self-serving crime lord who fakes friendship and high morals, while secretly betraying others.
- His public image of a decent businessman is nothing but a façade he adopts for financial gain and fraud.
- He insults and shows extreme hostility and contempt toward people without wealth or political power, as seen when he first meets Dutch van der Linde, Arthur Morgan and John Marston.
- He sets a trap for the Van der Linde gang to be arrested out of petty revenge for indirectly destroying his liquor business.
- When the gang attacks his residence in retaliation, he shows he is a coward when he attempts to shoot John and Arthur but begs for mercy and tries to bribe his way out of trouble when overpowered.
- When the gang captures him, he tries to bribe them into killing Dutch and freeing him.
- In his final moments, he continues to insult Dutch to his face, enough to provoke Dutch into killing him.
- While Arthur and John are shocked at Dutch drowning Bronte and feeding his corpse to an alligator, his death is not played for sympathy and the others are rather disgusted by the brutality of such an act.
