Arthur Walsh is a major antagonist in Marvel's The Punisher, appearing in the season 2 episode "Scar Tissue". He was a pedophilic caretaker at Ray of Hope group home where Billy Russo lived during his childhood.
He was portrayed by Thomas G. Waites.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Before the events of the series, he was a convicted child molester who spent a decade in Sing Sing for sexually abusing a prepubescent Billy Russo (a.k.a. Jigsaw). He even broke his arm one time, ripping his rotator cuff in three places and thus forcing him to give up on baseball entirely.
- It's also subtly implied that Arthur raped more children than just Russo, what with the former recapping how he "loved" the kids at the latter's group home and some of them were "happy to love him back", saying he was at there unlike their smackhead mothers and degenerate fathers.
- He takes zero responsibility for anything he did, blaming his child rape victims for how he lost his own pension and insisting that whatever happened in Jigsaw's life is not his fault since nobody can escape their true nature.
- He's a racist, asking if a "hajji" jacked up Jigsaw's face.
- He meets his own demise quite foolishly, mocking Jigsaw's physical and mental scars too much until he finally calls him the word that angers him most: pretty.
- Absolutely nobody mourns his death. Even Frank outright wishes him good riddance upon hearing about it. With that being said, he is just like Dr. Cornelius Evazan and Fenrir Greyback because his very existence is a vicious challenge against the ethics of having a strict "no kill" rule at all. Anyone in good conscience would gladly blow Arthur Walsh's infinitesimal brains with a pistol at the very first opportunity they could possibly hope to procure.
