Audrey Bourgeois is a minor antagonist of the animated series, Miraculous Ladybug. She is an international fan fashion critic, the ex-wife of former Paris mayor André Bourgeois and is the mother of Chloé Bourgeois and Zoé Lee. She is presented as a tough woman who fires her workers for minor reasons and is also quite apathetic and insensitive to her own family. She was (formerly) one of the reasons for Chloé's bad behavior, as she left for New York abandoning her daughter and husband for several years.
In the French version, she was voiced by Céline Melloul. She also was dubbed by Haviland Stillwell in English.
What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]
- She is a very tough, demanding, apathetic and rude woman who does not care about kindness. She often fires his employees for very trivial reasons, making her petty.
- Years before the series, she abandoned Chloé and her father to go to New York. This was formerly the cause of Chloé's insecurity and some of her bad behavior. Although Chloé got over this, Audrey still remains despicable for it.
- When she returns to Paris, she overreacts by getting upset just for not having a front row seat, which leads to her being akumatized.
- Audrey cheated on her husband, although a good thing about this is that it resulted in the birth of Zoé (Chloé’s younger half-sister who's way nicer).
- Although she seemed to soften briefly in "Miracle Queen," episodes later she returned to being the same as always.
- Audrey doesn't care about her family:
- She does not care the least about her younger daughter Zoé, since she didn't look happy when Zoé arrived in Paris. She even was on Chloé's side when she wanted to send Zoé back to New York.
- Despite her efforts to impress her, Audrey is ungrateful towards her older daughter Chloé and doesn’t show any respect or love, only using her.
- She is quite apathetic towards her husband André, being insensitive and rude to him, even though he always tries to please her. It is also known that she forced him to abandon his dreams of being a film director in order to force him to be mayor, and also to change his name to Bourgeois.
- She doesn't seem to care that Chloé has taken Paris and that she was a complete tyrant, even agreeing with her.
- After Chloé was defeated, forcing Audrey to leave Paris with her daughter by André, she harshly, but rightfully criticizes her not for her bad actions, but for foolishly losing all her powers and vows to take control of her life again, no longer loving and respecting her.
- In general, she's an elitist, very critical, rude, insensitive and even cruel. Any positive qualities she may have had have been subverted.
