Bekori was the minor antagonist of One Piece. He was the King of Sorbet Kingdom before being exiled by Kuma.
What makes him Hate Sink?[]
- When he was king, he created a policy, which was to increase taxes, that made the south region of Sorbet Kingdom be a poor area especially the elderly.
- He expected that the people of the north would be able to pay the Heavenly Tribute easily to the Celestial Dragons, but in truth they were disgusted by his action.
- He also believe he is higher up than anyone but the Celestial Dragons.
- When elderly people cannot pay the tribute, he order his men to adduct them be his slaves.
- This action anger Kuma for his unfair treatment that he resorted violence as a result, he was imprisoned.
- When Kuma’s friends demanded his release, he imprisoned them as well.
- Bekori was overthrown by the Freedom Fighter, who are lead by Dragon and Ivankov, all the people in Sorbet Kingdom rejoiced and allowed the prisoners to be free.
- He returned 16 years later with the intent of burning the south region that he got the idea from Gray Terminal to eliminate the weak people and reclaim his title.
- When the people of the north opposed his action, he shot one of them showing that he only care for himself.
- When being confronted by Kuma, Bekori referred him as a lowly pastor, who is weak to overthrow not knowing that Kuma has spent years as a member of Revolutionary Army dealing tyrants like him and showing Bekori is too stupid to even learn anything.
- This action anger Kuma again that he managed to overthrow him, which made people rejoiced again and declared Kuma as the new king.
- During Kuma’s tenure as a king, Bekori made a propaganda that made him a tyrant.
- Bekori confronted Kuma one last time with a fleet of Marines to takedown Kuma arrogantly believed that he can take down Kuma as the former refer the latter as a lowly pastor showing once again, he is too stupid to learn from his mistake.
- Kuma have had enough of his cruelty that he effortlessly sank the fleet, which was played with satisfaction.
