Bendy is a minor character from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. He is the main antagonist of "Everyone Knows It's Bendy".
He was voiced by Jeff Bennett, who also voiced Dick Hardly, Mike Brikowski and Major Man in The Powerpuff Girls, and the Huntsman in American Dragon: Jake Long.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- In the past, he misbehaved in his creator's home and broke the rules, doing things like writing on the walls, sticking gum under the table, stealing cookies and power tools, making long distance calls to drive up the phone bill, and throwing baseballs through the windows.
- He breaks a vase and falsely accuses Bloo, Wilt, Eduardo, and Coco of doing it and blaming him, getting them in trouble just to be a jerk.
- He frames Eduardo for getting chip crumbs on the floor, Wilt for getting mud inside the house all over the hall (also stealing Wilt's shoes and getting them covered in mud), Coco for taking a taste of a cake, and Bloo for writing on the wall. He gets all of them in trouble just to be a jerk and gets them all punished.
- He breaks the window with a baseball and gets Bloo in trouble.
- He insults Herriman and Frankie over the loudspeaker and gets Bloo in trouble. He gets Bloo grounded. He also reveals that he took Bloo's toothbrush and used it to scrub a toilet.
- He steals a cookie.
- He writes on the wall and orders Wilt to clean it up.
- He popped up and spray-painting the camera.
- He constantly flashes the characters a smug grin when he gets them in trouble.
- He has no known Freudian excuse nor any motivation besides wanting to do bad things and get people in trouble. He goes out of his way to target Bloo, Wilt, Coco, and Eduardo despite not even knowing them.
- He appears in all three versions of the canon tie-in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends videogame. In the Gameboy advance version, he appears as a common enemy, where he throws objects at the player. In the Leapster version, he steals the toy horse of Cheese, and Bloo must capture him. He makes a huge mess in the kitchen. In the Nintendo DS version, he breaks many busts and draws on the wall, only to get busted by Bloo, and unlike the episode, he gets grounded for his actions.
- The backlash and hate against Bendy from critics and fans of the show have even led the creators Faust and McCracken to permanently remove him from the series, declaring both him and his episode as non-canonical, which is a rather satisfying punishment for him.
