~ Bill threatening Arnold |
Bill is the main antagonist in the two-part episode "The Hitchhikers" of the sitcom Diff'rent Strokes.
He was portrayed by the late Woody Eney.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- While he was friendly to Arnold and Kimberly at first and offered them a ride, it’s only an act to hide his true intentions.
- After his true intentions are revealed, he locks Kimberly inside a closet after she rejects his advances.
- He then goes inside his bedroom where Arnold was in, threatens him to be quiet or else he'll harm Kimberly, ties him up, tapes his mouth and locks him inside.
- He then takes Kimberly to his dark room, where he proceeds to try to rape her only to be stopped at the last second.
- While discussing pressing charges, Maggie stated that Bill had kidnapped and raped women before the events of the episode.
- He overall lacks any redeeming qualities and is taken completely seriously.
- A deleted scene from the 2-parter would've revealed that Bill was in love with Lydia Drummond, Phillip's late wife and Kimberly's mother twenty years ago. Bill's warped fascination with Kimberly would become more intense upon discovering her parents were the man he has hated for 20 years and the woman who rejected him.
