What Makes Him a Hate Sink[]
- Although he has a tragedy of having his mother abandoned by synthetics, it does not make him sympathetic due to his jerkass behavior toward Andy. Not just that, but it's even established that the synthetics had to sacrifice a few other people beyond his mother to save a larger amount of lives, yet Bjorn is only concerned about his own blood.
- He makes offensive remarks about Andy in front of Rain which would have ensured Rain wouldn't work with the group if not for Tyler apologizing to her on his behalf.
- He is completely hostile toward Andy no matter how helpful or friendly he is namely because he doesn't expect Andy to fight back. When Andy does retaliate, he immediately claims he was only joking.
- It's implied that he impregnated his cousin Kay, with nothing indicating of Navarro knowing this detail.
- When Navarro gets infected with a xenomorph parasite with no way to save her, rather than accept that a mercy killing is necessary, he instead abandons the entire crew in a hopeless attempt to save her and himself, effectively allowing Navarro to die a gruesome and violent death.
- His actions ultimately allow an already bad situation for the party to become even worse.
- He foolishly attempts to take out a Xenomorph cocoon with a cattle prod and continues to stand near it while it is still active, resulting in acid getting spewed all over him and killing him. This death is played off as karmic.
