Bluejam is an antagonist of the One Piece manga and anime series. He was the captain of the Bluejam Pirates. He resided in the Goa Kingdom where he wanted to become an aristocrat by killing thousands of impoverished people in Grey Terminal under the will of the royals of the kingdom until he was betrayed.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He was a bad boss who killed his own underling, Porchemy, because the latter was bested by children. Bluejam murdered them even though he was loyal to him.
- Bluejam was manipulative as he tricked Luffy and Ace into transporting the resources needed to conduct the mass murder against the impoverished people.
- He was egotistical and was motivated by becoming an aristocrat and member of the royal class of the Goa Kingdom.
- He committed genocide and mass murder against the people of Grey Terminal by having his underlings burn it down. While people were dying or running for their lives or trying to protect their loved ones, Bluejam laughed and was happy that he might be able to achieve his selfish and life-long dream of being an aristocrat.
- When he was betrayed and left to be killed in the attack he planned and directed, he was angry that he would be betrayed by the royals and wanted to go to war against them to get revenge.
- He lacks any sympathetic, cool, or comical qualities and is shown to be an egotistical pirate who was willing to kill thousands in order to be rewarded with a higher status.
- After setting fire to Grey Terminal and realizing that he was betrayed, Bluejam decided to confront and antagonize Luffy and Ace about getting Ace and Sabo's treasure. He nearly killed Ace out of rage when things began to escalate more out of his control.
