Bones is an antagonist from Monster House.
He was voiced by Jason Lee.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He is an abusive boyfriend to Zee and is shown to not respect women, which makes him falling victim to the female Monster House very ironic.
- Unlike Mr. Nebbercracker, his meanness is not an act, and unlike Constance, the movie makes no attempt to make him sympathetic besides him losing his kite.
- It is implied that he cares more about his kite than he does his girlfriend. (It is possible that having his kite taken from him by Mr. Nebbercracker may have played a role in his unpleasant personality in the film proper, but it doesn't confirm it.)
- While Zee finds his prancing of DJ funny at first, he also decides to rip DJ's stuffed bunny, something that Zee doesn't approve of as she immediately demands him to stop. Bones is a grown adult, so this is pretty immature of him.
- He can be seen drinking some booze inside the Walters' house as well as outside when he leaves, which is possibly illegal due to DJ a nine year old, still being in the house.
- He pranks Zee by pouncing on her after tattle-telling her Nebbercracker ate his wife, until Zee has enough eventually decides to kick him out of the house to get him to sober up.
- Zee decides that she would be better off dating Skull than dating him, as he is a better boyfriend to her.
