Carmilla Rhodes is the main antagonist of David Lynch's film Mulholland Drive.
She is introduced as an amnisiac girl named Rita. However at the final part of the film it is revealed she is a manipulative woman and Diane Selwyn's ex-girlfriend.
She is portrayed by Laura Harring.
What makes her a Hate Sink?[]
- She became a lesbian girlfriend with Diane Selwyn when the two were audictioning as actresses in Sylvia North Story. However she doesn't care about Diane, and became her girlfriend purely for lust.
- She got the part of the actress by seducing and having sex with the director Bob Brooks.
- She then used the same way of seducing multiple directors and get the lead actress in these films, while only letting Diane get small parts of her films.
- After she became famous by having sex with the director Adam Kesher, she betrayed Daine and offered to break up.
- After her relationship with Diane broke up, she invited Diane to attend her dinner party which would later announce she and Adam would get married, saying "it means so much to me".
- She intimately tongue kissed with Adam multiple times in front of Diane, despite knowing this would make she very uncomfortable.
- When Diane expressed her grievance in the dinner party to Coco, Carmilla didn't do anything to comfort her, instead kept kissing with Adam.
- She doesn't love Adam whatsoever, only marrying him to become a famous actress and get status and money.
- She tongue kissed another girl in the dinner party, only to spite Diane that her status as a lesbian girlfriend is also replaced.
- Although she ended being killed by a hitman hired by Diane, she is completely unsympathetic for all the petty deeda she had done on Daine.
- Even after her death, her impact still mentally tormented Diane which led to her suicide.
