Cesar and Ugolin are two antagonists from The Simpsons, both whom appear in The Crepes of Wrath. They are both aggressive French wine makers who are abusive to Bart Simpsons and force him to do slave labor.
They appear in the episode “Crepes of Wrath”.
What Makes Them Hate Sinks?[]
- They are abusive to Bart. While Bart acted badly in the beginning of the episode, it gradually becomes clear that he doesn’t deserve the way they treat him.
- Specifically, they work him day and night and don’t give him a bed to sleep on. If Bart is lucky he gets to sleep in the hay and not the floor.
- Since they gave Bart’s red hat to the donkey, Bart was being treated literally worse than an animal.
- They decided to engage in wine tampering, which is a very serious crime. Specifically, they decided to secretly add antifreeze to their wine. While they were careful not to kill anyone, they nevertheless decided to test it out on Bart.
- Unlike other Simpsons characters that are antagonistic to Bart, they are treated completely seriously and lack redeeming qualities.

- Cesar and Ugolin, alongside The Kindergarten Teacher, Jebediah Springfield, Jack Lassen, Ms. Kelp, Ms. Cantwell, and Judge Constance Harm are the only Simpsons characters to be considered as Hate Sinks.
