~ Chara talking about their parent's lack of care. |
Chara's Parents are the posthumous overarching antagonists of the Undertale fan-comic Inverted Fate. They were the abusive parents of Chara who constantly berated them and forced them into a role they never asked for.
What Makes Them Hate Sinks?[]
- They were incredibly abusive towards Chara, mounting expectations upon them and telling them to "be presentable" and to never show emotion.
- They would constantly tell Chara of how they were a mistake, a consequence, and only valued them as a way of boosting their own status among their peers.
- The way they treated Chara would cause them to develop bad habits, most notably that of manipulation, with them going onto trying to force Asriel into a plan they conducted that was for the same way of spiting them. It's clear they also gained their misanthropic views from them as well.
- They are transphobic, as they referred to Chara as their "son" despite them being non-binary, scoffed at the idea of them wanting to vary their attire, as well as the notion of the term "they" existing as a possible pronoun.
- Their actions would ultimately cause Chara to become suicidal, with them fleeing to Mount Ebott with the goal of ending their own life.
- They participated in the killing of Asriel once he absorbed Chara's SOUL and went to the surface.
- They ultimately lack any redeeming qualities, with them simply being characterized as abusive, bigoted parents who solely exist to make Chara more sympathetic.
- They are ultimately shown to receive no consequences for their actions, making them both Karma Houdinis.
