Charlie Hewitt Jr. better known as Sheriff Hoyt, is the main antagonist of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake dulogy.
He was portrayed by the late R. Lee Ermey, who also portrayed Sheriff Warren Pike in Life.
What makes him despicable?[]
- He is a gruff, foul-mouthed bully who spends his screentime shouting, insulting others, and cursing.
- He is extremely rude to everyone he interacts with aside from Leatherface.
- He murdered the real Sheriff Hoyt and stole his identity.
- He convinced his family to start murdering and cannibalizing outsiders to survive.
- He tortures Dean and Eric.
- He is implied to rape Bailey.
- He shows little concern when his uncle Monty is shot, assuming he accidentally shot himself and scolding him for playing with guns. He proceeds to have Leatherface needlessly amputate both of Monty's legs.
- He and his family murdered 33 people in total.
- He is implied to have raped the female hitchhiker in the first film.
- He makes tasteless necrophilia jokes while dealing with a dead body.
- He forces Morgan to reenact a suicide in a sadistic fashion.
- He breaks a bottle over Morgan's face, knocking a tooth out.
- He is pretty aggressive when holding Erin and toying with her.
- He shows no concern when Jedidiah begs to be let inside while wolves can be heard howling outside.
- Outside of Leatherface, he is never shown interacting positively with any of his family. He spends his scenes in the prequel arguing with his mother Luda Mae, and at one point tells her to shut up.
