Choi Yoon-Jae is a minor yet influential antagonist exclusive to the Sweet Home (2020) live action.

He is a child predator who managed to get away with his crimes until being kidnapped by Pyeon Sang-wook. Once the monster outbreak occurred, he managed to escape captivity and live among the rest of the survivors at Green Home while hiding his true nature. He eventually got caught by Sang-wook who brutally murdered him with a hammer and fed him to a certain monster.

What makes him a Hate Sink?[]

  • He stands out as a very personal antagonist contrarily to the man-eating monsters.
  • He kidnapped multiple children and did god-knows-what to them. It is clear he acted a mentor to them, lured them to his apartment and took pictures of their bruised and beaten bodies. He then murdered them and likely raped them. Somehow, he got away with these crimes for multiple years.
  • One of these victims was an immigrant with no identification. After he kidnapped her, the girls father was willing to give Sang-Wook anything he has left to catch "this monster."
  • He wanted to become a monster, presumably so he could continue his revolting crimes.
  • While it's easy to feel bad for him when he is seen being tortured by Sang-Wook, any sympathy for him is gone when his true nature is revealed.
  • He left a threatening bloody message to Sang-Wook after escaping.
  • He creepily stalked Hyun while he was sleeping, offered him candy and called him sunshine in a pedophilic tone. He showed just how unstable he is at this moment and need his "obsession."
  • He attempted to murder Sang-Wook for trying to reveal his true nature.
  • He died with no remorse for his actions, instead hypocritically calling Sang-Wook a murderer and begging the others to save him.
