| ~ Christoff explains to Kristal how she got Disventure Camp. |
Christoff McLean is a minor antagonist of the Mexican animated series Disventure Camp.
He is Kristal McLean's father and the host of Race to the Place, who constantly left her alone due to his hosting, leaving her extremely upset as she kept auditioning for production roles in his show. After Kristal quit Disventure Camp, he tries to manipulate her into taking over his legacy.
He is voiced by Chris Kiefer in English and Daniel Lacy in Spanish.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Despite having a daughter, Kristal, he did not care about her whatsoever and only came to talk to her so she could take over his legacy.
- He hosted Race to the Place, leaving his daughter behind who eventually started to grow depressed without a father figure in her life to actually help her.
- He had apparently abused all of his interns in the past, forcing them to do life-risking challenges and getting extremely angry when they fail at things.
- What makes this worse is that Oliver was even having horrible hallucinations about it, showing how much he was affected by it.
- Even though his daughter had kept auditioning for production roles, Kristoff states that he saw all of these, but instead of just directly hiring her and helping her accomplish her dreams, he sends it to his production, not really caring about it.
- He later tries to paint this as a good thing, as with how impressed the production were they gave her Disventure Camp.
- After years of leaving Kristal in the dark, after she quit Disventure Camp and gave the show up to Derek and Trevor, he got his bodyguards to take her off to his lounge so he could manipulate her.
- He tried to act like a loving father towards Kristal, acting like he always had cared about her, even if it's clear he never did, Kristal obviously did not buy this, but Christoff tried to impress her by letting her win a bowling match, allowing them to bond.
- Ultimately, his manipulation tactics almost work, as Kristal is ready to get on the plane to co-host the next season, and take over his legacy after he retires.
- While he says he respects Kristal's choice to stick with her friends and not co-host, as she states it's too late to bond now, it's too brief to confirm if this was really genuine, and it's not really a redemption given how he still seemingly hosts his series, he also seemed annoyed to say it aswell.
- He did not seem thankful atall when Oliver says he would not press charges even after all the abuse he went through.
- He is a Karma Houdini, as he gets away with his crimes with no punishment whatsoever, being allowed to just continuing to host, only losing his chance of having his daughter take over his legacy.
