The Circus Trainer is a minor The Last Airbender villain and the central antagonist of his lone appearance in "Appa's Lost Days". He is a Circus Trainer who is shown to be very abusive to animals.

He was voiced by Dwight Schultz.

What makes him a Hate Sink?

• Even though it was mentioned that he was raised by sadistic Fire Nation noblemen, his backstory was never explored, making the Circus Trainer being unsempathetic and making him unlikable.
• He gets no direct comeuppance for his cruelty, making him a Karma Houdini.
• Refuses to feed Appa even though the gentle beast longed for Aang and was starving to death.
• Like Avatar's other most despicable baddies, his affability was intentionally made a ruse.
• His evil is wanton and willful (unlike Azula).
• He has no redeeming qualities and is taken completely seriously (unlike Zuko).
• He leaves no direct impact on the overarching story (unlike Azulon, Vaatu, Sozin and Ozai).
