Clifford Blossom

Clifford Blossom is the main antagonist of Seasons 1 and 7 of Riverdale.

He is portrayed by Barclay Hope as an adult and by Trevor Stines as a teenager.

What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]

While Riverdale has its share of bad parents, Clifford still stands out because he decided to murder his son.
While his business is seemingly legal at first (he sells maple syrup), it later turns out he was selling drugs.
Before murdering his son, he presumably decides to have him be beaten by his accomplice Mustang.
- Clifford would later kill Mustang to make sure he got away with what he did.
The reason he killed his son was so that he could get away with his crimes. He later had FP Jones help him get away with the murder by threatening his son.
While he didn’t hang himself to escape justice contrary to first appearances, he still didn’t feel remorse for his actions.
His actions played a contributing role to his daughter deciding to attempt suicide.
In an alternate timeline, he:
- Tried to sell a palladium bomb to Russia, which would have resulted in countless deaths.
- Had Ethel Muggs' parents and Jughead's mentor Mr. Rayberry killed by a killer milkman to cover up his involvement.
- Tried to force Archie and Cheryl to marry after they supposedly had sex, meaning he was enforcing underage marriages.
- Discriminated his daughter for being a lesbian and tried to blackmail her into outing the gays at Riverdale High.
