Craghas Drahar, also known as Craghas Crabfeeder or simply referred to as the Crabfeeder, is a major antagonist in House of the Dragon.
In Fire & Blood, he was a Myrish Prince-Admiral who served the Triarchy and led the conquest of the Stepstones. He is known as the Crabfeeder because he would stake out his enemies on the sands of the Stepstones and leave them to drown when the tide of the water rises, but in House of the Dragon, he does this so they could be eaten by crabs. During the War for the Stepstones, he was slain by Prince Daemon Targaryen.
In the TV series he is portrayed by Daniel Scott-Smith.
What Makes Him Hated?[]
- By joining forces with the Triarchy he starts an unjustified war of conquest against the forces of Beit Valerion and inflicts heavy damage on their fleet.
- When he wins he kills his prisoners in a penetrating way: stake them on the beach with his war hammer and let them be devoured by crabs. In the books, on the other hand, he lets them drown in the tidal waves and one way or another it is a very horrible and sadistic way to die.
- Even when Corlys Valeryon and Daemon Targaryen's fleet attacked him he continued to win for at least two years of the War of Attrition, during which he apparently continued to kill his enemies with the same method.
- When Damon tricks him into seeming to surrender, he orders the Triarchy to surround him, causing most of them to catch fire.
- When a war starts due to Damon's actions and his army weakens he flees to the caves without helping his men. In fact even before that he was not seen helping his men fight.
- He leaves Damon to follow him before he is killed as a coward, ending the war and his reign of terror.
- Although he suffers from greyscale disease and wears a mask it is not shown to be sympathetic due to him being a horrible person.
Trivia[]
- Until now he is the only House of the Dragon hate sink.
