NOTE: This page is only about the movie canon version of Creek, as the one in "The Beat Goes On" (which is not canon to the movies) is not a Hate Sink due to him changing himself to be a better person, therefore only his movie canon incarnation's info and actions should be put here. |

~ Creek justifying his betrayal to Poppy and the other Trolls. |
Creek is the secondary antagonist of DreamWorks's 33rd full-length animated feature film Trolls.
He seems to be a laid-back, wise, and chill individual at the beginning, even though he does show to be a bit unfriendly and self-absorbed with Branch. However, he would reveal himself in the climax to be a selfish, cowardly traitor who is willing to leave his own kind to their potential demises. He is Branch's arch-nemesis, Poppy's former close friend and crush, and Chef's loyal sidekick.
He is voiced by Russell Brand.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- While he does appear to be rather kind, likable, friendly, and polite troll at the beginning and was kidnapped by Chef Bergen along with some of Poppy's other friends, he was also shown to not very friendly and being self-absorbed with Branch, even mocking the latter about his paranoia of the Bergens returning to attack them.
- In particular, he's the only one to truly mock Branch instead of just showing annoyance. It's worth noting that he tends to be like this only when he is around Branch, showing how two-faced of an individual Creek is.
- It is worth mentioning that Branch had lost his grandma Rosiepuff to one of the Bergen attacks, making Branch's fear of the attack very justifiable and Creek's mockery of Branch being really uncalled for.
- Bergen Chef would reveal that Creek helped her into tricking Poppy and her friends into getting caught, this would lead to Branch getting very angry at Creek for his betrayal to the point he attempts to strangle Creek with his hair, only for Poppy to beg him to let Creek go. Creek would apathetically tell Poppy that he was selling her and the other trolls, even his own friends a smug look, leading to Poppy getting enraged and strangling Creek with her hair as well.
- When King Gristle Jr was trying to eat him, he would cowardly tell him to eat someone else except him, even begging Chef to make a deal with him as a way to stay alive, meaning that he would rather sacrifice his own kind to the Bergens just to save his own skin.
- Before abandoning Poppy and her friends in a cage for their potential demise of getting turned into Bergen food, he would also steal Poppy's cowbell just so he could trick the Trolls into thinking that Poppy has returned back and lure them out, only for him to get all of the Trolls to be captured by the Bergen Chef.
- His excuse for what he did was not justifiable at all, as he was willing to backstab his entire race of Trolls and would leave them to die, even if they were his own friends, just to ensure that he wouldn’t die. This shows that Creek is a dirty coward.
- Even though he does team up with Chef Bergen, he had only done so for pragmatic and selfish reasons.
- He is also a hypocrite as he admits that he was "enlightened" even though he was shown to be very selfish and cared for nobody but himself.
- His death of being eaten by the hill monster is not played sympathetically and is well-earned.
