Officer Mooney is a major antagonist from Killer Klowns from Outer Space. While it is unlikely that aliens from outer space would attack Earth, he represents what an officer should not do in such a situation.
What Makes Him Unlikable?[]
- Regardless of the clowns being killer or not, they're the reason people watch the movie. The protagonists can be considered likable though. But people weren't expecting Officer Mooney.
- He abuses prisoners unprovoked. And he tells them they have no rights.
- He refuses to believe anyone when they explain his town is in danger. That includes his own deputy.
- And yes, he isn't as nice to his own deputy (Dave) than he should have been.
- Even when a clown shows up in his police station, he still refuses to handle the truth.
- His actions make it much easier for the clowns to kill people, though this wasn't entirely his intention.
- His death can be considered darkly hilarious, because he was made into a dummy when he said that nobody would make a dummy out of him.
