What Makes Them Despicable	Killing Ben and blaming Otis for not being there to back him up. Trying to eat Maddy.
"Love to hate" factors	He has a great scary design and voice despite David Koechner usually playing comedic roles. Although this is purely pragmatic and mainly out of cowardice, he treats the other coyotes well.

Dag is the main antagonist of the 2006 animated film Barnyard. He is a sadistic serial-killing red coyote and becoming Otis' arch-nemesis, leading a pack of other coyotes trying to kidnap the hens on the farm for food.

He was voiced by David Koechner.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

• He's by all means a serial killer in a coyote's body, holding a keychain of chicken feet from previous meals and even calling himself a "Ladykiller" like Ted Bundy.
• He kills Otis' adoptive father Ben when he tries to save the hens, later blaming him for it just to hurt his feelings, and guilty even though he had no part in it.
• He tries to eat the young chick Maddy just for calling him a "meaner", revealing that his true nature, willing to kill others just for insults that are very minor.
• It's implied that not even humans are safe from him as he threatens to massacre the entire farm if Otis tries to stop him from taking a few animals per night, possibly including the farmer.
• He's a pathetic coward who only goes after smaller animals for food. When he's up against a big strong cow like Ben or Otis, he lands a sneak-attack while his pack keeps him busy, then trembles when at his mercy.
