Demalo Black is the main antagonist of the "Return to Sabaody Arc" of the anime and manga series One Piece.
He is a pirate that impersonates any of the big named pirates. He attempted to impersonate the Straw Hat Pirates specifically Straw Hat Luffy to gain reputation. He later attempted to impersonate the Kid Pirates.
What Makes Him Hate Sink?[]
- He and his crew impersonate the Straw Hat Pirates to gain infamy believing they were dead after two years have passed.
- He recruited more pirates at Sabaody Archipelagos with the minimal bounty of 70 million beri.
- He dismissed one pirate crew for having a bounty that does not meet their expectation and shot him with a gun.
- When he got the Caribou Pirates on his side, Black believed that he will become more infamous, not knowing that the Caribou Pirates intend to kill them and bury them.
- He was also stupid to not realize that the Marines base happen to be nearby.
- When Black was impersonating Luffy, he showcased his poor traits in contrast to the real version.
- He is not a skilled fighter.
- His bounty is below even the minimal bounty of recruit more pirates.
- He likes to brag to everyone that he is the Straw Hat Luffy along with many reputation, which the real Luffy would never do.
- He is too stupid to realize that those people that he antagonize are the real Straw Hat Pirates.
- He attempted to flirt with Nami, but Usopp managed to intervene.
- He tried to intimate the mysterious person, not know that was the real Luffy, but the latter used his Haki to knock them out unconscious.
- He doesn't cared for any his subordinates, dismissing fake Robin and fake Chopper getting arrested by the Marines, which caused Chopper, who believed was his crew, to run away.
- When being confronted by Sentomaru, Demalo Black tried to use his reputation to scare him. However, Sentomaru was not fooled, due to encountering the real Straw Hat Pirates two years ago, smashed his head with a flat side of his giant axe, incapacitating him, and exposed him as a fraud, which was played with satisfaction.
- He was sent to Marine prison along with his fake crew members, and they began to impersonate the Kid Pirates with Black posing as Captain Kid, showing that Black didn't learn anything. Also, taking the reputation of someone who is allegedly dead is uncalled for and disrespectful.
