Devar Manigault is a minor antagonist in HBO's The Wire.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

• He molests young boys, including his own biological children, and raped other prisoners when he was incarcerated.
• His actions lead to Michael's corruption, as he joins Marlo in order to prevent Devar from molesting Bug.
• He expressed no remorse for his actions, telling Chris Partlow that "man's gotta bust his not" when confronted about it.
• Even Chris, who has no qualms about murdering children as young as those Devar molests, is revolted by Devar's actions and even breaks his protocol to viciously beat Devar to death.
• When investigating Devar's murder, Bunk refers to Devar as a "baby-bumping motherf-cker" and doesn't blame Michael for wanting him killed.
