Donovan is a minor antagonist in the manga series Berserk. He is a mercenary and war criminal who worked for Gambino and his mercenary unit and raped Guts when he was a child.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

• He joined the outfit so he could get as much money as possible and kill as many people he could, he even enjoyed killing people who begged for his mercy.
• One day, he payed Gambino three silver coins so he could rape his adoptive son Guts.
• He has no redeeming qualities or likable traits whatsoever, with manga readers hating him so much that they wished that Donovan got killed after he raped Guts.
• His actions would have a great impact on Guts, as his rape of the latter made him afraid of getting touched even after he became an adult.
