Doofus Drake is a recurring antagonist in DuckTales 2017.
He is a spoiled brat who became extremely corrupted after inheriting a vast fortune from his grandmother (or "Gummeemama").
He is voiced by John Gemberling.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- Unlike his 1987 counterpart who is an uninteresting yet genuinely friendly and sweet kid, this version is ultimately little more than a thoughtless and hedonistic spoiled brat who has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. While he does care about his Gummeemama, it's only because he wouldn't be living his unhealthy lifestyle if it weren't for her, and he even says she's his one true parent, even though that really hurts his mother and father.
- When Louie Duck tries to befriend him, he induces him to destroy expensive works of art for no reason, and he then betrays him for trying to slash a portrait of his Gummeemama, even though he couldn't have possibly known it was her.
- He invites Mark Beaks of all people to his birthday party.
- He tries to kidnap Goldie, while Goldie is a backstabber, she doesn’t want anyone in harms way and force her to be his new Gummeemama trapping her in glass with no air even Goldie say its worse than the time amps jabbed her with million splinters whispering her devastated failures.
- He throws a temper tantrum when B.O.Y.D. becomes his adopted brother, showing just how childish he is and just how unintimidating and helpless he really is without his vast inheritance which lead to his well-deserved karma of getting scolded by his parents.
- He vindictively tries to run a sham trial for Scrooge McDuck so he can take his fortune for himself, thinking he can regain his original way of life that way.
- While he accepted Louie's apology at the end of Scrooge's trial, he never shown remorse for his actions making it a faux redemption.
- While he was mentioned to have been sweeter and more like his 1987 counterpart in the past, it is completely lost now.

- Only his 2017 version counts as his 1987 version is an unmemorable yet sweet kid who has none of his rebooted version's deplorable traits at all.
