Doug is the main antagonist of the 2023 adult comedy film Strays. A low-life person living in the dumps, Doug is an animal hating manchild who is Reggie’s former owner and only keeps his ex-girlfriend’s dog to spite her but realizes that he has no use for him and decides to abandon him, unaware he has led his former dog on a path to vengeance against him.

He was portrayed by Will Forte.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]

He is a lazy scumbag who is addicted to drugs and likes watching porn. When he comes across his ex-girlfriend's dog Reggie, he decided to keep him to spite her, instead of letting her take Reggie since he doesn't like him.
He constantly tries to get rid of Reggie and this keeps failing. He ultimately gets rid of him when he drove to Atlanta and dropped him here. This ultimately sets Reggie's path of vengeance on Doug for abandoning him.
When Reggie finally made his way back home, Doug was mad and tried to kill him with a baseball bat, while ranting that he ruined his life because his girlfriend dumped him, even though it was his own fault because he cheated on her the first place and refuses to take responsibilty.
His defeat is played for satisfaction: getting his dick bit off by Reggie then gets pooped on by Hunter, eventually his home and everything he values (his truck, drugs and porn) were burned, leaving him with nothing and is presumed he is either arrested for his actions or was left homeless for the rest of his life.
He has zero redeeming qualities and is irredeemable.
