Dr. Angus Bumby, also known as the Dollmaker while in his Wonderland incarnation, is the overarching antagonist of the American McGee's Alice series, serving as the main antagonist of the 2011 video game Alice: Madness Returns.

He is a psychiatrist and secret child sex trafficker, as well as both the killer of Alice Liddell's family and the mastermind behind the Infernal Train, Wonderland's corruption and Alice's insanity, thus making him her true archenemy.

He was voiced by Alistair McGowan.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

• He killed Alice's parents and older sister Lizzie by burning their house down when she was just a child, ultimately driving Alice to the point of long-term insanity.
  • Furthermore, it's repeatedly suggested in-game that he raped Lizzie that night, calling her a tease who "got what she wanted in the end". The Queen of Hearts also recalls Lizzie making noises that weren't just talking in her sleep (to which Alice responds "oh no...poor Lizzie!"), and Memories found in Wonderland state that he touched her inappropriately at least once before she died. He likely incapacitated Lizzie after the deed was done, leaving her to die from smoke inhalation.
• He brainwashed countless children—girls and boys—into forgetting their past lives, selling them into sex slavery as blank slates afterwards. He shows zero remorse for it when confronted by Alice, having deluded himself into believing he's providing a public service to gratify all sorts of appetites in the great and awful metropolis.
• As the Dollmaker, he turned countless more children into dolls, depriving them of what remains of their deranged souls as they eventually transform into the monstrous Ruin.
• Overall, he lacks any redeemable qualities and his death is immensely cathartic for it.
