Earl Moriarty is a minor character in Moriarty the Patriot, serving as the father of William and Albert James Moriarty. He was an aristocrat who looked down upon the working class of his society just like the other aristocrats.
What makes him hated?[]
- His "charitable" nature was false since he only adopted William and Louis for the sake of social status for himself, making him egotistical.
- He pretended to be for adopting orphans out of purely pragmatic and selfish reasons since it was only done for the sake of social status.
- He cheated on his own wife with the Duchess as a means of "riling" his wife up.
- He is complicit in William James Moriarty and his brother (Albert)'s mistreatment.
- His actions along with his elitism inspired nothing but hatred out of Albert James Moriarty and his adopted brothers and it gave William a partial reason for killing so many of the nobility in England.
