Ebon is the main antagonist of the Static Shock fanfiction "Jimmy's visit with Dr. Franklin".
What makes him a hate sink?[]
- He was a gang leader even before forming the Meta-Breed.
- He kidnapped the titular Jimmy Osgood because of his paranoid belief that he was a member of a rival gang.
- After kidnapping Jimmy he also kidnapped his twin brother Johnny whom he tortured to death. On top of all of that he also forced Jimmy to watch him get tortured which is a form of psychological torture itself.
- His actions resulted in Jimmy Osgood turning into a villain and by proxy the episode "Jimmy" as a whole.
- Even though he had no intent on it happening he still didn't have any remorse over the shooting instead he was proud of what he did.
- He got no punishment for his actions that he did making him a karma houdini.
- He lacks any of the "evil is cool" and entertaining traits that his canon self has.
- Unlike Jimmy Osgood himself in the fanfiction, Ebon has no sympathetic nor redeeming traits and doesn't even care about his fellow Meta-Breed members.
- The only reason why he and the fanfiction as a whole exist is to make Jimmy Osgood a more sympathetic character and to give him a reason for what he did in the episode.
Trivia[]
- He along with Hotstreak, D.J Rock, Aron Price, Slipstream, Permafrost's Stepfather, Replikon, Madelyn Spaulding, and Bernie Rast are the only Static Shock characters to be a hate sink.
- He is also the only fanon Static Shock character to be a hate sink along with the only version of Ebon to be a hate sink.
