“ | It was only a matter of time before this happened. We can no longer pretend like the Inhuman threat doesn't exist. Each and every one of them is a lethal weapon and now those weapons are aimed directly at us. Make no mistake; this is an act of war. Unless we take a stand and fight back now while we can, we will be complicit in our own extinction. | „ |

Ellen Nadeer is a major antagonist in Season 4 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. She's a US Senator who's bigoted against Inhumans and has allied herself with the Watchdogs to wipe them and SHIELD out.
She is portrayed by Parminder Nagra.
What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]
- She is immensely bigoted against Inhumans, seeing everyone of them as things and alien weapons that are aimed against humanity and refuses to believe that any of them could be capable of good, culminating in her having made a pact with her brother for each of them to kill the other if any of them goes through Terrigenesis.
- She uses her political position to spread hate and paranoia about Inhumans and SHIELD in a very similar manner to real-life xenophobes.
- She has the Watchdogs use EMP's to black out multipale cities across America under the guise of an "Inhuman Resistance" and exploits this to frame the Inhumans as war criminals all the while her Watchdog allies hunt down and execute Inhumans in the blacked out cities. This leads to the deaths of 17 innocent Inhumans which she describes as "a good start".
- This permanently destroys Elena Rodriguez relationship with a friend that had previously her to her wedding when she outs herself as an Inhuman trying to defend herself.
- It also leads to countless people abusing the black out to steal and riot leading to the deaths of 3 ordinary citizens.
- The Watchdogs also almost kill a simple party magician out of paranoia
- When SHIELD is re-instated and stops her plot she claims that SHIELD is only a puppet of the Inhumans and lies about "having very credible sources" that told her Inhumans were responsible for the attack.
- While in an interview with Jeffrey Mace, she claims that SHIELD favors Inhuman lives over Human lives and has the audacity to again use her EMP scheme as an argument against Inhumans even though way more Inhumans than humans died there.
- She uses Ghost Rider's murder of a prisoner and Daisy Johnson's vigilante actions to blackmail Mace into lending her Jemma Simmons and then refuses to let him talk to her and return her, even when Mace needs her to save lives.
- When her brother expresses gratitude towards Simmons freeing him from his Terrigen husk she scoffs at the idea of there being even one good agent in SHIELD.
- She sets her brother up to be assassinated by the Watchdogs just for being an Inhuman.
- While initially hesitant to do it she ultimately shoots her brother dead and coldly has his corpse thrown out of her helicopter after previously claiming that she would protect them and talking him out of going with a SHIELD rescue team by claiming they would just turn him into a weapon.
- She has the Superior launch a series of assassinations attempts on Jeffrey Mace that kill multiple SHIELD agents and nearly kill Mace, Coulson and Mack.
- She humiliates SHIELD at a public hearing by revealing they bugged her office and hypocritically complaining about SHIELD acting above the law which is not only more or less their job but also something she herself does on a regular basis and in much worse ways like straight up trying to have Mace murdered (the entire reason why SHIELD bugged her office in the first place).
- When Tucker Shockley arrives with Terrigen crystals to test if she is an Inhuman she pathetically begs him not to and then devolves into cheerfully taunting and cursing at him when he is revealed to be one instead.
- After Tucker been cocooned, she greatly insulted him for being one, only to backfired when Tucker accidentally used his Inhuman power to blow up the building giving her a karmic death.
- Her death is played for zero sympathy due to her crimes with Mace (the only SHIELD agent upset at her dying) only being so because he wanted her to be put on trial.
