Eric Sparrow is the main antagonist of the 2003 video game Tony Hawk Underground.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Despite being the custom skater's (the playable character's) only true friend at the start of the game, he does nothing but insults you.
- Takes credit for the custom skater performing a dangerous stunt, one that could've gotten them killed, thus becoming a pro skater instead of the player character.
- Ruins the playable character's career by crashing a tank into a Russian building and framing the playable character for it. This results in the player character losing their pro skater status having to both pay a fine for the damages, and being stranded in Russia.
- After his defeat against the playable character, he insults them arguing that he could kick their ass.
- Overall, Eric Sparrow's only real purpose in the game is to ruin the player character's life.
Trivia[]
- The developers for Tony Hawk Underground knew how awful Eric was (and even how he didn't face any real consequences in the game's base ending) to the point where, in the game's alternate ending that can be unlocked after completing the game a second time, the custom skater can punch Eric Sparrow in the face.
