What Makes Them Despicable	Is xenophobic and abusive to his elf slaves. Views Imina with disgust. Is an egotistical and horrible person in general. Cares only for fame.

Erya Uzruth is a minor character in the Overlord series. He is a worker and leader of the worker guild Tenmu (which mostly comprised of his elf slaves).

He was voiced in Japanese by Ryōhei Kimura, with Kyle Igneczi voicing him in English.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

• He is very abusive and cruel to his elf slaves and view them as nothing more than disposable tools:
  • He slapped one of them publicly when the workers were gathering.
  • In the English dub, when one of them was guiding him around the tomb and stopped. He stated, "move on or else," implying that he would use violence against her.
  • He had their ears cut off to look more human.
  • He uses them to satisfy his lust and depravity.
• When Hamsuke asked his name before their battle, he simply states "I see no point in telling a beast my name", showing that he sees himself superior to the former.
• When he took a hard blow from Hamsuke, he ordered his elf slaves to use healing and enhancing magic on him, even though he said would fight the hamster alone. Showing he is not only a cheater but a coward.
• While his death was pretty gruesome, it's not played for sympathy, as he was a horrible person with no redeeming qualities. (Although many fans felt that his death wasn't warranted enough, as his death was also less agonizing and more merciful compared to what the other workers suffered as some who aren't that bad compared to him gotten worse treatments).
  • Also, the fact that his elf slaves began to kick his corpse just goes to show how cruel he was to them.
