Evelyn Claythorne is the secondary antagonist of the Glitch Productions online animated web series Meta Runner, serving as the secondary antagonist of Seasons 2 and 3.
She is a Meta Runner who used to work for TAS Corp before Derek Lucks was shot dead by Masa's hacked Meta Runner arm. She was forced to be Tari's teammate for the Hidden Heroes showmatch despite showing jealousy and hatred towards her.
Since she got unemployed, she gets an offer from a phone call to have Tari's abilities and have revenge on her from Dr. Sheridan.
She was voiced by Elsie Lovelock.
What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]
- Evelyn's motivation for her crimes is very petty and egotistical, being motivated solely by envy of Tari becoming a TAS Corp Meta Runner quickly in contrast to Claythorne's long training.
- Her pettiness is so significant that the creators had once joked on a Reddit Q&A that Evelyn was also motivated just by simply stepping on a Lego brick.
- She is a Smug Snake who acts self-centered and believes herself to be superior towards everyone that she deems "inferior".
- She bullies Tari for most of Season 2, for how Lucks favorites Tari over her and even refers to Tari as a 'science experiment'. It gets worse in Season 3, where she outright tries to kill Tari.
- She takes a TASCorp worker's game console and claims it as hers, which shows she likes to flaunt her power.
- When she discovered that Tari stole a tablet of Pocket Gakusei from her room, she cannot wait for her to be punished by Lucks and sadistically wants to see it happen.
- She is pretty much a sore loser, considering how she reacts after Tari beats her.
- She also cried of fear during being arrested, begging for her father to not let the police take her.
- Speaking of arrest, she's a massive coward who is completely helpless when it comes to fighting in the real world despite being skilled at gaming. This is shown when she just backs down after Lucinia punches her and called her out on being a spoiled and selfish person.
- She's a massive hypocrite, as she taunts and demeans others who she finds annoying or for her own amusement, yet is always infuriated when someone talks back or insults her.
- She kills Theo (who is likely a child), being well aware that he'll disappear if that happens. She even goes as far as to heartlessly tell Tari of his fate to crush her spirit.
- When she disconnects from Sheridan's server after Marco destroys it while killing the latter, she chooses to arrogantly yell at him and the others when she had the chance to escape.

- To help drive point of Evelyn being a Hate Sink, there’s a subreddit called “r/f*ckevelyn”, made to scorn her.
- Her status as a Hate Sink is ironic because Kevin and Luke Lerdwichagul both personally love this character but wanted to make her hated by everybody else.
- She, along with Francis, Team Killer Ink Leader, and Puzzlebox Kids Subscribers are currently the only GLITCH characters to be Hate Sinks.
