Fabian Cortez is a minor antagonist of the 1992 animated series, X-Men, and serves as Magneto's fanatical follower. He plotted to kill Magneto in order to have a war between mutants and humans to happen while planning to destroy earth.
He is voiced by Lawrence Bayne.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He is a fanatical follower of Magneto and becomes easily displeased by the sight of humans. When Magneto allowed some human guest into Astroid M, Fabian criticizes Magneto for not killing them.
- When Magneto refuse to get rid of the humans as he does not seek war, Fabian betrays him by taking away much of Magneto's powers and energy. He tells Magneto that he is better suited as a "martyr".
- He promote himself as the new leader of Astroid M and used his status to manipulate his fellow mutants.
- For all his talk of defending mutantkind, Fabian is a traitor to both sides as he tries to destroy humanity and control the mutants for personal gain.
- He falsely accused the X-Men of murdering Magneto.
- He attempts to nuke planet earth as a form of spite towards the humans.
- He willing became a servant of Apocalypse and constantly bullies one of his servants for failing to find a vessel for their master.
- Fabian tries to sacrifice Jubilee as a vessel for Apocalypse.
- Apocalypse taking Fabian Cortez as his vessel is karmically deserved as he betrayed his kind and mankind while expressing no regrets even in his final moments.
