Flazzard is a major antagonist of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. He is a monster created by Hadlar and a Blizzblaze Legion Commander of the Dark Army. He's also clearly obsessed towards glory and victory for himself to win.
In Japanese version, he is voiced by late Ken Yamaguchi in the 1991 anime and Toru Nada in the 2020 anime. In English version, he is voiced by Brian Drummond.
What makes him Hate Sink?[]
- While he doesn't like fighting, he clearly loves winning and is obsessed with glory and achievements, showing how much of an egomaniac and a sore loser he is.
- Conquered the country of Orzam and killed many soldiers there. Before he left, he orders his minions to kill everyone and destroy everything in the country.
- Learning that Vearn has sent Hyunckel to kill Dai, he became enraged and wasn't pleased of hearing this, showing that he's heavily disliked the Undead Legion Commander at all just because he's a human.
- After Hyunckel is defeated, he attempt to kill Dai and the others by drowning and burning them all in lava, leaving Hyunckel to sacrifice himself to help Dai and his group escape. Believed that Hyunckel has died, he was excited that he finally gotten his chance of conquering the Papnica Kingdom.
- Went to attack Leona and her subjects at the Valge Tower, almost killing them all with Five Finger Flares. After torturing both Apollo and Marin for being weak, he attempt to kill Princess Leona before Dai intervenes and fought with him.
- When Dai seemingly defeated him, he creates the Blizzblaze Curse Field made from both Dark Flame Spire and Dark Ice Spire to prevent everyone from using their magic so he could defeat them all before slaughtering them. Dai points out what he did is cheating.
- Threatens Dai and the others not to escape from him by freezing Princess Leona in an ice, knowing how much she's important for them which causing Dai to get even more angrier. If Leona is remained frozen longer until sundown by tomorrow, she'll dies after her life force is getting drained.
- Attempt to stop Dai and the others escape from him and orders his minions to pursue them at all costs.
- Despite stopping himself from shattering Princess Leona into pieces while she's frozen out of anger and boredom, it wasn't out of altruism because he wanted to wait for her to die after sundown by tomorrow.
- After Hadlar is killed during the battle between him and Hyunckel, he called him useless for not being able to beat his enemies, showing that he isn't concerned of his death and lacks any gratitude towards his creator.
- Ambushed Dai and his friends from above and attempt to brutally slam Maam down to the ground.
- Tore the Infernal Emblem down off of him despite the fact how important it is since it was given to him by Vearn to prove his loyalty, all because he was obsessed with glory.
- Instead of giving up when the heroes surrounded him, he used his final technique Rock Bullet Shrapnel Detonation to attack them all, including Dai whom he tried to kill.
- After he was given an ultimate armour by Myst-Vearn, he attempt to kill Dai and the others once again until it was destroyed later on.
- Despite his overconfidence, he's ultimately a coward when he's almost destroyed as he begged Myst-Vearn to help so he could live longer and later convinced him to be given another chance before Myst-Vearn coldly stomps him into pieces.
