Flintheart Glomgold is the central antagonist of Disney's original DuckTales franchise.

He is the second-richest duck in the world, and wants to kill Scrooge McDuck so he can be the richest.

He was voiced by the late Hal Smith.

What makes Him a Hate Sink?[]

Unlike his reboot counterpart, who has many wholesome traits such as eccentricity, cunning, and compassion, he has no comedic traits or redeeming qualities.
Every time he tries to screw Scrooge McDuck over, it always backfires spectacularly owing to his low intelligence.
He is so incompetent that even the Beagle Boys don't like working with him.
During the climax, his greed almost causes the golden goose to destroy the entire world by turning it into lifeless constructs of gold.
He is a Karma Houdini, facing no consequences for his actions.

Trivia[]

Only his 1987 version counts as his 2017 version is too comedic and exhibits redemptive traits such as animal kindness and the courage to fight against the evil General Lunaris.
