Francis is a major antagonist in the Australian adult-animated comedy web franchise SMG4, serving as the main antagonist of the Anime Arc and one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Shadow Meggy) of its 2021 spin-off, Sunset Paradise.
He is the main antagonist of Season 9 and The Anime Arc (serving as a neutral character in Part 1 and the main antagonist of Part 2), and the posthumous overarching antagonist of Season 10, The Anime Arc Aftermath, the 2020 film Meggy's Destiny: An SMG4 Movie and Season 11.
While the same in appearance, this version of Francis is completely different than his original counterpart.

What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- He kidnapped Axol and stole his Ink Weaver to use it for his own wicked intentions.
- He and the Anime Cartel would kidnap various Inklings (including Meggy) just for their ink so he could use it for the Ink Weaver in order to go through with his goals to create an Anime Island with Wafius.
- If he went through with his plans, it would have most likely resulted in the genocide of the entire Inkling race and possibly killing others.
- He sadistically tortures Meggy for her ink and tries to take it all out by using the Zuccer 2000. While Francis never does succeed in his main goals, Meggy still loses her ink when trying to help the protagonists, leading to her becoming a human, presumably for the rest of her life.
- He has Desti killed by one of his Anime Replicas and takes sadistic glee in it. This was the thing that crossed the line, as he is currently the one of two SMG4 villain to permanently kill off a protagonist (along with Niles), and one of three GLITCH villains to permanently kill a protagonist, the others being The Funky Fource.
- Compared to most of the villains in the SMG4 series, Francis has no redeeming qualities, and while not entirely, is taken somewhat more seriously than most of the villains, and some of his actions continue the haunt the series even after his death.
- He is extremely annoying in almost every scene he appears in, especially in the second half of the anime arc.
- He's a coward as he tried to run away after he lost ink and begged for mercy, while showing no sympathy for Desti's death when he was defeated.
- His death is played for full satisfaction with him being putted by Saiko in Ink Zuccer and horribly, but completely deservedly tortured by it until Anime Island's explosion.
Trivia[]
- He along with Team Killer Ink Leader and the Puzzlebox Kids Subscribers are the only SMG4 characters to be Hate Sinks so far.
- Francis is the only SMG4 Hate Sink to get full karma for his actions, while Team Killer Ink Leader simply lost in Splatfest, and Puzzlebox Kids Subscribers simply lost Puzzlebox.
