| ~ Frank laying claim to his house. |
Frank is the titular overarching antagonist of the 2022 horror film Barbarian.
He is a psychopathic serial rapist and killer from Detroit who abducted multiple women in the underground corridors beneath his house at 476 Barbary Street and committed subsequent acts of sexual molestation against them. The consequences of his disturbing behavior led to the birth of the Mother, a deformed and barbaric byproduct of years of incest.
He was portrayed by Richard Brake.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- For many years, he was a petty criminal posing as a maintenance man to abduct and murder numerous women in Detroit, Michigan. More importantly, he would rape these women for his own sick desires and later record such atrocities on video as well as keeping their possessions as trophies such as a woman's yellow dress or the bloodstains in his rape room.
- In addition to his rapes, he would imprison the women in cages in his labyrinth-like underground tunnel of his house for months or even years, some even giving birth to children. These victims also included underage girls which he raped, making him a pedophile.
- His VHS tapes are also incredibly disturbing and disgusting, such as ones called "Won't stop crying", "Pregnant", and many more horrific examples.
- Besides raping and murdering other women, his actions resulted in the birth of the deformed, tragic being known as the Mother. He is also incredibly neglectful towards her and his other children to the point where the former was not taught to speak, clothe herself or have proper hygiene (apart from a VHS video about breastfeeding). In general, he is responsible for the trauma and pain of multiple girls.
- Additionally, the fact that the children he had were all females implied that he murdered male infants, showing that he is willing to commit infanticide.
- It’s implied once he’s done with the women he kills them anyway and starts over again with the next victim.
- His actions are so vile that even AJ Gilbride (himself a rapist) is understandably disgusted and horrified at what he did after watching a tape of one of his murders.
- After AJ said he would call the police to come into his house, Frank would hold a gun and commit suicide upon realizing this would lead to his arrest for his crimes.
- Even after his death, his horrible actions left a legacy of trauma across Detroit when his crimes were eventually discovered after Tess Marshall met with the police. This led to the city to conduct a full investigation and expose his true nature.
