Funatsu is a minor antagonist in Mirai Nikki. He is the second-in-command of the Omekata Cult led by Tsubaki Kasugona, who is responsible for bringing her into insanity. He also appears in spin-off manga Mirai Nicki Paradox as the secondary antagonist.

In Japanese, he is voiced by Eiji Maruyama. In English dub, he is voiced by Kenny Green.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

• He twisted Reisuke, a toddler's parents into joining his cult, partially making him go insane.
• He staged the deaths of both of Tsubaki's parents, the former cult leaders, by blowing up their cars and framing it as an accident. This was done just because they wanted to give their daughter a normal life away from the cult, which would've made him lose his power.
• He imprisoned and forced Tsubaki (a young child) to get gang-raped by his minions over 1000 times, for multiple years until she was driven insane, causing her to become the villain she is today.
