Leland Genos (also known as Genos) is the secondary antagonist of the fourth Equestria Girls film Legend of Everfree, as well as the main antagonist of the Equestria Girls film Invasion From The Dark. He is the third Minister of Forestfear, and also runs a number of his own furniture factories and antique stores throughout Canterlot City and other cities.
He assisted Forestfear in building a portal to the World of Fantastic Creatures, and later planned to turn the population of Canterlot City into consumable material for his product.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
In General[]
- He is extremely arrogant, psychopathic, sadistic, pompous and selfish, constantly praising himself, belittling others who do not share his views and appreciation for his "product", calling Rainbow Dash a dog just because she doesn't like it, and calling all the Friendship Guardians lower life forms.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree[]
- Upon arriving at Camp Everfree, he decides to eat Watermelody by hiding in one of his dolls only to spit her back out, claiming she is completely inedible.
- He attempted to shoot the Friendship Guardians and campers with mercury bullets using his Horrible Dolls of War technique simply to mock the Reaper of Worlds' concern for human lives, forcing him to take the bullets to protect the Friendship Guardians and campers.
- He greeted The Shy Guy happily and said that the possibility of Shy Guy's death made his heart flutter with happiness before pretending to cough and saying that it made his heart ache with worry for him, earning an angry glare from Second Minister Forestfear.
- When Filthy Rich told him that he had covered the sofa he gave him with human skin to replace the damaged upholstery, Genos, while admitting that it was wrong, immediately changed his mind about it, immediately seeing it as another inspiration for his "product", completely subverting any of his standards.
- Although it is said that they are full-fledged business partners, and part-time best friends, in reality there is no evidence that they care about each other, as in practice their friendship and politeness towards each other is built on their shared sadism and hatred of humanity, rather than a genuine friendship.
- He cowardly fled the battlefield during the Battle of Camp Everfree, leaving both Forestfear and all members of Forestfear Squad to their fate.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Invasion From The Dark[]
- He possessed the body of a little girl in order to infiltrate Canterlot High School and possess the Reaper of Worlds, which he did. It is also heavily implied that he disposed of the little girl's body to cover his tracks.
- He killed dozens of people across Canterlot City using the Reaper of Worlds' body, simply to attract the attention of the Friendship Guardians and engage them in battle out of petty hatred for them denying him the right to dispose of humanity with his methods.
- He gives the Friendship Guardians "The Siren's Singing", a morbid piece of art consisting of the mutilated bodies of Tennis Match and Sophisticata glued together, with their internal organs embedded inside the device, coupled with the machinery inside, with meat horns sticking out of their mouths, which is the worst part, which all the two innocent girls screamed every time Genos turned the lever on the side of the "product". implying that they were still alive. This completely proves that unlike all the other human villains of the My Little Pony Reaperverse, he is the most exceptionally sadistic towards humanity, loving to torture them in any way possible.
- Near his death, he becomes a complete loser, angrily screaming about not wanting to lose to the Friendship Guardians before Rainbow Dash slices him into many pieces due to being tired of his screams, which is portrayed as a complete stress reliever as well as a form of catharsis and satisfaction.
